MISSION STATEMENT

The Medina Community Police Academy Alumni Association (MCPAAA) is dedicated to strengthening the partnership between the citizens of Medina and the Police Department by assisting in community-sponsored activities and acting as a resource to the Medina Police.

Sergeant First Class Greg Habrat

SFC Habrat is a graduate of Medina Community Police Academy Class #3.
He went on to become a Special and will continue in that capacity when he returns. Sgt. Habrat's family is the only "3 generation CPA Family". His late mother, Connie, and his son Jake are all graduates of the Medina Community Police Academy. Jake also went to to become a Special. Greg
and his wife, Mary have three sons. Sgt, Habrat is a graduate of Medina High School.
SFC Habrat is currently stationed with his unit (Battery First of the One Thirty Fourth Field Artillery) in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Right now he is right in the middle of the unrest in Kabul, due to the accidental burning of the Korans.
In the photo, Sgt. Habrat is holding an M4 carbine.

Sergeant Andrew Demczyk

Sgt. Demczyk is a graduate of Class #5. Andy also went on to become a Special, and will continue in that capacity when he returns home. He is also a Medina High School graduate.
Sgt. Demczyk is with Battery First of the One Thirty Fourth Artillery Unit.
Andy and his wife Amanda have one son, age 3.

And there are more Denczyk family connections to the Community Police Academy. Andy's parents, Barb and Rex Demczyk are both graduates of Class #2. Both went on to become Specials and are currently serving in that capacity.
