PROPERTY MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
City of Medina Property Maintenance Program
This program originated from Mayor Hanwell when he was the Chief of Police, as an idea for a
collaborative effort of the various departments in the City. A committee was formed inclusive of
various members from the various departments and currently Officer Valentine serves on this
committee. When Chief Berarducci became chief, he asked the committee how the Alumni can
be of help with this endeavor. Response was, the Alumni can be our eyes when they are out and
about. As housing stocks deteriorates, property values decrease and rental properties increase
as does crime. The objective is to keep the community viable.
